Women In Science
Hall Of Fame

The Department of State initiated a Women in Science Hall of Fame in 2010 to honor outstanding female scientists throughout the Middle East and North Africa.

New hall of fame members are selected annually for their professional accomplishments,

aiming to develop a strong network of professional women scientists across the region.

These role models also motivate and inspire girls to study science and pursue scientific careers.

Princess Sumaya
University For Technology

A non-governmental, non-profit university owned by the Royal Scientific Society (RSS).

PSUT will use a U.S Embassy grant in Jordan to expand the awareness of the WIS network, women scientists contributions to innovation, and encourage future generations of female leaders to pursue science and technology careers.

Outreach activities can promote the role of science and technology in overall economic development.

Her Royal Highness Princess Sumaya bint El Hassan is the main supporter and advocate for having the WIS project to be held and run under the university's umbrella. Such a project is of high importance to the university, students and all stakeholders and is of high benefit to the generations studying at the premises of the university.
